It might be one of those therapies that is difficult to determine the long term effects (positive or negative). There are some negative consequences of too much oxygen with is a fairly reactive molecule.

I discussed this on my thread. It is far from clear that oxygen therapy increases telomere length, it may merely be killing off damaged cells and causing their replacement; rather like killing off your skin with a peel, so it is replaced by newer cells beneath. Of course, this is only a theory, but the study authors do not address it.
