A good idea for cryonics members would be to build a hospital near of the CI Facility. Members would instead use this hospital for their health performance..

I did a search on Google Maps, and it appears there are some hospitals fairly close, although I have no idea if they are good ones or not.

Here is the link to the search I did. It appears that both St John North Shores Hospital and MT Clemens General Hospital are pretty near. (the green point in the map is the Cryonics Institute, for which I used the address, 24355 Sorrentino Court, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035 which is what they show on their website)

administrated by CI only, they are near but I dont think they can build a close relationship together.

The CI Hospital would be only for Cryonics Members deserved only for them (they would have the priority).. and adapted for them. It would become a future site for reanimation maybe. Like every hospital, there would have research going one.

Of course the hospital fees would be more flexible and less for cryonics members.

What do you think ? It would be A GOOD hospital. Maybe Ben Best can tell us their experience with the 2 hospital you mentioned..

The demand for cryonics would have to go up dramatically to have a need for a cryonics-specific hospital.

Maybe not a cryonics only Hospital but a Clinic/ Hospital administered by cryonics Leadership sure be great. That way we know when a cryonics patient dies some waco religion freak doctor won't wait till our neurons are scrambled to call the game.

What we really need is a cryonics facility in a country that has little in the way of mortuary / suicide laws. Then we could administer a sedative, and vitrify the person right there and then.

Costa Rica, maybe?

Shouldn't matter all that much if you're there for dying :-)

There is a thread on it:

Be sure to scroll down, just about all of the first page are still the old big ones with the white backgrounds, you will have to look through the pages to see which ones you would like to use.

I thought that Alcor was using a hospice or a nursing home for terminally ill patients.
I don't know about CI, but maybe they could make a deal with a nearby nursing home or a hospice.
A nursing home or a hospice is a lot cheaper per day charge than a hospital. You may not care if your dying, but it is something the family will think about.

I understand that Oregon has passed euthanasia laws, but I don't remember the details.
