I thought this was worth posting: http://www.lef.org/n...ker-elects.html.

And check out the site named in the article: http://www.biomarker...m/html/home.htm.

It struck me as an attempt at the commercialisation of true anti-aging drugs, which I think is a good thing. The more people who know about it, the harder it will be for Kass and his lackeys to stop this. [ph34r]

This is extremely good news , the more economic might the more the whores of power will get behind it making it impossible the right wing religious nuts to stop. [!]

I'll just quote my mother, god bless her, as she spoke to me about the cost of the acetyl-L-carnitine and other various supplements she has found very effective in alleviating some of the age related changes she is experiencing at 60 years old.

Our generation (the baby boomers) have accumulated a lot of money and we're going to spend every last dime of your inheritance staying alive.

To which I replied that I was moving back home.

The point being that there will be a HUGE demand for anti-aging approaches in the upcoming years by people with the money to afford them and support the research. As nuggets of hope emerge into the popular conciousness that at the very least a person can avoid to a large degree age-related decline in their faculties, the religious right will be nothing more than the background music playing on the Titanic as the aging rush and cling to whatever safety boats they can find. I think that co-operation between the various proponents of life-extension such Michael West and Biomarker herald a new level in the fight against aging that bodes well for everyone, especially my mom.

Bravo! I commend your mother. She exhibits noteworthy intelligent traits. Now, I wonder how she feels about living forever.
