I've been taking Jarrow blackcurrant extract but they discontinued it.

Looking around, I haven't found any reasonably priced high-anthocyanin content supplements or bulk powders that seem reliable. Particularly looking for high cyanidin content.

(some foods containing them, with quantities by type are here: https://www.ars.usda..._4069-4075.pdf)

Anyone know of some good sources?

Thanks for the idea, but LEF doesn't say how much anthocyanin is in those pills, only that they are "standardized".

Also, they add vitamin C, and I have been taking 12 of the blackcurrant per day, so if I took that much of these it would be 2.4gm of vitamin C, which is more than I want to take.

Considering Jarrow 15:1 elderberry, but they so far have not replied on anthocyanin content either.

I also asked for a COA from several other companies, but they also haven't supplied them.

Thanks that's a good idea but blueberries mainly contain delphinidin and I am looking for cyanidin.

If you are looking for blackcurrant then there is this one it's 35% anthocyanins but only 30 capsules per bottle. Also this bulk powder is 3.3% anthocyanins, this one has smaller sizes.

Good find, thanks!

Based on this paper: https://www.ars.usda...4_4069-4075.pdf what I probably really want (of what they looked at) is elderberry, black raspberry, raspberry, red cabbage, etc. They don't have black bean or black rice on that list, or blackcurrant.

Blackcurrant is not bad, but is less than 1/2 cyanidin on average, according to this paper: https://www.ncbi.nlm...les/PMC8394496/

I still may get the Swanson you found, esp. if Jarrow doesn't come back with a COA soon on their 15:1 elderberry.

This one is elderberry and 14mg anthocyanins per softgel.

Based on that paper, aronia would be a good choice too. This company makes aronia extract 5% anthocyanins but they don't list where to buy it.

Thanks, I ordered 30 bottles of the elderberry you linked because iHerb has a 25% off sale today only.

A better one may come up but this one will be good for the next couple of months :)

No idea how much C3G is in elderberry, but I've been taking AOR vision support II and it does:

hiamin (vitamin B1 as Benfotiamine). 160 mg

Black Soybean Hull extract. 120 mg
- Cyanidin-3-glucosides. 12 mg

Lutein (from marigold flowers). 15 mg

Zeaxanthin (from Marigold Flowers). 15 mg

Astaxanthin (from Haematococcus pluvialis). 4 mg
