Permit me to start out by saying I've head many kidney and heart tests and they were all good.

Edema is often caused by kidney and heart concerns, but so are varicose veins.

I'm a pretty thin guy.  In recent months, my ankles and shins have started making pitting edema.  My feet are getting varicose veins.  My lower legs feel like they're being squeezed.

Maybe there are two questions:  what, besides heart and kidney issues, and chronic venous insufficiency might cause this?  Do supplements exist that can improve bloodflow -- if I didn't know better, I'd say there's something (in my spine?) pressing on a nerve which is messing with blood flow, factoring I've been having some center back pain recently... nevertheless I've seen a few supplements from Life Extension for vein health.

I have heard Tru Niagen helps. Even plain B3 like Nicotinamide might help too.

Make sure you're not Vit C or Vit K1 deficient as these are essential to vascular structure and endothelial health. Also if you go with B3 like mentioned above make sure it's non-flushing otherwise you'll exacerbate the problem very quickly.
