Hello everybody. Lon time member here. I really could use some insight.

So 4 months ago, I inded up pulling the HELL out of my skin attempting to get a close shave (they tell you to pull the skin taut, never works for me so this time out of anger I pulled REALLY hard.)..

To be more specific, I held my left thumb on my left temple, and my middle finger on my right temple, grasped super SUPER hard and pulled upwards REALLY hard.

When I let go I felt Excrucitating pain not only at each temple point, but on both cheekbone areas (and I did not even grasp the cheekbones ever). Not only was the pain terrible, I literally saw my left cheek drop roughly half a centimeter new my jawline in a way it never was before AND in certain lighting there was this divot, so to speak (where the fat/skin used to be but it dropped creating this new depression).... Well, for three days in a row I was in pretty damn bad pain, moreso on the left.

Over the period of roughly a month, I watched as my left cheek kind of displaced itself, both laterally (away from the nose), and downwards. I thought I was insane at first, so to see if I was I decided to take photos in the exact same lighting conditions, angle, etc (some photos were not the exact same angle or lighting, but most, ans now my cheeks are so different it is apparent even in slightly different settings).........

At any rate, my left cheek was descending, and still is. I can literally induce more movement from it (which does not go back once it has moved), by putting some pull or push to it. I ended up going to an ENT. THere were no answers, but her examination was painful especially on my right side..... After that my cheek on the right starting to descend even more aggressively than the left. I tried thinking, "Hmm, could this be accelerated aging?" but it cannot be because I can literally induce changes to my cheek positions by putting too much pressure, pulling etc, all proven through before and after photos. It is starting to drive me insane. I suppose I need an MRI to check for damage.

I guess I wanted to share this here because out of concern for health and for vanity, I have been using longevity based strategies for almost a decade. I looked young for a very long time too which was a nice bonus, and that is rapidly going away as my cheeks descend. My idea is that I somehow loosened the attachments that hold certain fat compartments in the face in place, and that because they were damaged, they no longer have the integrity to stay in their original places. I know for one I cannot simply allow for my face to continuehaving the tissue displace itself, because I have had Bell's Palsy before and GOD FORBID the tissue displaces itself where it pinches that nerve again. So  guess what I am saying is, I am going to probably need to to seek surgery of some type to resituate the tissue back into (or at least close to its original place...... Either THAT OR I will need to at least figure out which structures are damages and possibly get some type of surgery to have them securely sutured in one spot, because clearly my natural tissue is no longer holding the other tissues in place after this injury.        For what it is worth, making facial movements, as weird as it sounds, on each side of my face...... It literally feels like something is being pulled apart (painless when this happens but it is the WEIRDEST sensation. Like almost like a ligament trying to hold onto tissue below it, but the tissue below it is moving away from its origina/support during facial movement. It is the weirdest fucking thing.

I was thinking of when people have sports injuries. THey generally end up immobilizing the area so that the injury fully heals in one spot as close to "perfect" as possible..... with the face though that is impossible......................

These photos are 3 months apart. The face is CLEARLY much bottom heavier and even the upper lip has become downturned a bit (I have read in plastic surgery literature that displacement of certain cheek fat can cause a change in the upper lip shape/philtrum.......

At any rate yeah. I have literally developed a heavy jowl one one side and the other side, while being less severe, is bulging a bit/sagging lateral to the chin. I know this is not placebo also because when I shave, these areas of the face, I used to be able to feel the bone/jawline, but I cannot anymore.... Each side is just covered with soft fat tissue....................

before I am in grey

after I am in white.

I feel this change makes me look sad tired and angry, as well as older. I feel like I visually aged about 5 years.........I am guessing surgery is the only way. Any ideas as to what I should do besides talk to a surgeon?

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for your wonderful post.  I wish there would be many biohackers (which sadly I am not) to guide you.  But I am strong in my observations, what I will say is that aging is "in-evitable".  You can alter your lifestyle and take supplements, but it is all ... think of it as investments in stocks ... you win, keep winning but then you loose it all, and back to square one.

My point is, everyone's physiology is "unique".  Scientists will tell you otherwise, because they are either trying to sell their particular approach OR they are so blindly passionate about their approach.  Bottom line is: a) know your physiology.  b) Create frameworks of understanding various biological processes i.e. gain knowledge.  The person that wins in stock market is one who knows the inner mechanics.  c) Try to understand mechanics and pathways of EVERYTHING.  Careful manipulation of various factors to your unique biology is the secret to therapeutic treatment.

We all can do our part.  I think this forum is a dream-place to create (and learn) this knowledge.

Few things I can add:

1. When you are healed enough, try a good 'electric current stimulation device' (they go by different names, I am not good with names).  They are low-cost,and stimulate muscle/nerve movements.  E.g. a one side face, weak injured muscle can be strengthened to make it of equal strength to the other un-affected side of face.

2. Evaluate what composition is needed to heal the injury:  Nerve tissue?  skin tissue?  growth factors? etc.  Now try to find which compounds/methods can grow a nerve, skin tissue etc.  What growth factors you can use.  I have observed GHK-Cu is a potent growth factor - use it topically.  Use electrophoresis (like Red Light) so it penetrates deeper.

3. For tissue growth: Play with stem cells.  Mitochondria is the 'energy source', so a good biological method to stimulate stem cells (Turnbuckle, QuestForLife threads).  A trick no one explains newbies is:  Fission vs Fusion, Mitophagy vs Biogenesis, these are unique to your physiology.  e.g. you might have imbalance of excessive Fission and less Biogenesis (and vice versa), so start at lower doses, and aim to develop a feeling whether you need less of A and more of B etc.  Another trick, I am currently playing with is, using these compounds "topically".  As healing can be maximized, oral vs topical vs both.  Plus you can run your own lab, by testing compounds topically over a smaller area before you ingest them orally.
