Anyone know of a source that will send to an individual, or who could order it for me and resend it to (or within) Australia? I would make it worth your while.

I've tried a couple American suppliers but they won't send to a residential address, and I don't know anyone with a business they could send it to.

It seems to not be available from Alibaba suppliers like it was in the past, although maybe I could send some queries to highly reviewed chemical suppliers in China (any input here would be appreciated).

CAS Number

7424-00-2

Planning to take low doses (probably like 100mg/day at first) to stop my serotonin levels from climbing too high and causing unpleasant symptoms when I eat a normal amount of protein for too long. Have a damaged serotonin system from SS many years ago and ever since experienced a threshold effect with subsequent paradoxical agitation and anxiety.

Thanks

Did you have any luck with this?

Yes I got it from a Chinese supplier in 2024, but ended up not using it for very long. I still have a bunch of it that I don't need since I was able to heal my serotonin sensitivity with supervised ketamine treatments for TRD. The downstream neurotrophic effects was just what my brain needed to repair or bypass the damage. I was able to gradually increase my protein to a high level until serotonin symptoms vanished entirely.

Other factors that I believed helped:

Tianeptine sodium/sulfate - good supplemental neuroplastic and mood/anxiety support, but careful not to become dependent on (I did for a while but was able to reduce and now just use as needed)

Replacing chronic high dose antipsychotics (10 years) with Mirtazapine over the course of just a few weeks - I believe Seroquel was keeping my brain sick and increasing long-term risks.

Memantine - helpful for a while but a bit dulling to take all the time

Numerous supplements such as Magnesium L-threonate

Recent:

NSI-189 - started a couple months ago, very good neurotrophic that has continued healing and increases stress resiliance.

BPC-157 - started about a month ago, good body healing/workout recovery effects and apparently is protective against serotonin syndrome by inhibiting 5-HT2A.

ACD-856 - a few days ago - another neurotrophic - so far so good

I'm really glad to hear that you were able to heal yourself. Several of those have been on my radar for a while, but I've yet to try them.

My situation is actually pretty similar to yours. I'm extremely sensitive to serotonergic substances. And a Tryptophan Deprivation Diet (which very closely mimics a low protein diet) was one of the only treatments I tried that had a significant impact on my symptoms. But, as I'm sure you are aware, it's extremely restrictive and difficult to sustain long term.

I was able to acquire Fenclonine in the time since I last commented here. Though, it didn't have the effect I was hoping for. I wish I knew why. It's possible what I received was not really Fenclonine. I didn't have it 3rd party tested. Or maybe my dose was too low? Though, I've since learned that Fenclonine is actually NOT selective for Tryptophan Hydroxylase. It actually significantly inhibits Phenylalanine Hydroxylase too, which can lead to elevated Phenylalanine levels in the blood, which isn't good. That fact, along with the fact that inhibiting TPH is not a perfect substitute for Tryptophan deprivation (since with TPH inhbition, Tryptophan is still present in the body and can still metabolize into other intermediates) makes me think that Fenclonine is a pretty mixed bag.

I sent you a PM too, by the way
