I've been following this supplement since it's release a few years ago. I'm intrigued by it's back story concerning the dolphin research but the price is holding me back.

I've seen a lot of YouTube videos popping up claiming how great it is but quite frankly I don't trust most Influencers/social media.

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated.

Seems similar to Prodrome sciences plasmalogen. Something that integrates into the cell membrane. Seems like it would be relatively non-toxic. I haven't had time to look up studies on the supplement.

Somehow that one company has managed to patent its use as a nutraceutical even though it is a fatty acid!

It should be cheap IMO.

The studies DO look promising. 

Maybe the patented the "process" of creating purified C15:0

I know for a fact that other sellers have been forced to remove it from their stocks because of legal action: I doubt that would be because of manufacture process, which wouldn't be known to the seller. 

I believe the odd numbered chains are rarer in nature, so it stands to reason there would not be as much of C15 about as say C16 or C18, but still: it shouldn't be hard to make, so if this becomes popular as a supplement, I expect the market will quickly supply it.
