I’ve been using Modafinil on and off for about a year now, mostly for work and some side projects. I started with 100 mg a couple of times a week, but now I’m up to 200 mg about three days a week from highstreetpharma. At first, it felt like I had discovered the ultimate productivity hack—like there was nothing I couldn’t accomplish. I crushed my to-do list every single day, knocked out months-old projects, and even started hobbies I’d been procrastinating on for years.

But here’s the thing: the honeymoon phase is over, and I’ve realized that Modafinil is not a magic bullet. Sure, it helps me focus, but it doesn’t make the work itself easier or faster—it just makes me more willing to grind through it. Lately, I’ve been feeling this weird pressure to always be productive when I take it, and honestly, it’s exhausting.

The worst part? When I’m not on Modafinil, I feel sluggish and unmotivated, almost like my "off" days are getting worse because I’ve raised my expectations so high. I’ve been questioning whether this level of productivity is even sustainable. Is it worth feeling like I’m in overdrive all the time?

I’m curious if anyone else has hit this wall. How do you balance using Modafinil as a tool without letting it take over your life? Have you found ways to pace yourself or maintain a sense of balance, even on the days you’re not taking it?
