First I must make some definitions.

The name, “Jew” comes from Y’hudah, or Judah, which at the time was identifying all of the “Hebrews,” with the ruling tribe.

Faith: “The substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.”

The name, “Hebrew” means: one who has crossed over. But, you can call them Jews if you’d like.

The word, “Religion” means: To link back to the self, or, deal with yourself.
Also in the Greek, we have still more words that describe a behavior that can be perceived as a modern perception of the word “Religion.” -tharce-kos: pious.
Therefore I do not make the modern perception of religion synonymous with scriptures or God.
Now we shall go from the milk to the meat.

I do believe that we can have immortality
I know that for the atheist here this will be a hard one to swallow, but I propose that we both are attempting to describe the invisible.
For it takes faith to believe something you don’t have yet. Immortality!

The Hebrew Scriptures suggest that there is an environment and behavior that could led to immortality.
I won’t bore with the complex codes in use, but I can say that we are making some ground on both fronts: spiritual and physical. We are using a Hebrew math system that is giving us both scientific, and verbal results.
I will keep everyone inform on any progress. :)

Mercury's Staff, the Cadeusus, is a beautiful symbolic representation of the DNA helix that comes from the ancient Greeks. It was the physician's emblem for millenium and dualistic for both life in general and specifically as the twined, entwining snakes vilified in genesis.

If you are talking about Kabbalistic mysticism, har har.

Codified Claptrap - The Bible Code is numerological nonsense masquerading as science

As for immortality I am sure we have driven home that you will not always be sure your extended life will equal immortality - it's a "as you go along" sort of thing.
As for taking this as a "faith" makes it sound riddled with religious tones due to compounding historical tales about the role of faith - in religion.
Since seeking the ideal of immortality is pure science we should refer to it as theory, if anything. This is due to there being a myriad of research papers on extending life-spans in organism models showing it is a fact, thus we can construct a "theory of life extension." But for it to be a fact, instead of theory, we need to live past the alotted lifespan with scientific interference in genetics (ok, maybe nanobots on the other side).
