Can anyone give me a typical Mg content of most commercial green tea? How does, for example, a 400mg Green Tea supplement stack up against a normal bag of tea? Thanks.

China green tips green tea available at starbucks was tested at .42 mg per gram of EGCG using a teabag in 75ml of water; which is what I expect from most commercial teas bought at the supermarket. Whereas matcha tested at about 57mg per gram. Powdered sencha came out to be about 150mg per gram. That is why I would recommend powdered sencha even over water extracted white tea.

Getting your tea nitrogen packed makes a world of difference. A difference of green to brown.
