Hey everyone,
I’m looking for community feedback from anyone who has experience sourcing, reconstituting, and running an intranasal Orexin-A (Hypocretin-1) protocol.
Specifically, I’m looking at this from a Narcolepsy Type 1 (NT1) perspective to target the core hypothalamic orexin deficiency and evaluate its impact on both daytime alertness and cataplexy episodes.
My rationale for the intranasal route over systemic injection is bypassing the blood-brain barrier via the olfactory/trigeminal neural pathways to hit higher CNS concentrations without needing huge doses.
If you've experimented with this:
-
Results & Efficacy: Did you notice a measurable improvement in sleep latency, reduction in cataplexy frequency, or stabilization of REM/wake transitions? How long did the wakefulness window last per spray?
-
Protocol Details: What concentration/dosage per spray did you land on, and what diluent/preservative did you use to maintain peptide stability in a nasal atomizer (e.g., BAC water, deionized saline, or a specific buffer)?
-
Sourcing: I am experienced with reconstituting and managing my own peptide protocols. Are there any reliable research supply vendors you recommend that consistently offer Orexin-A?
