Hello, my first post, although I have spent a lot of time reading here.
I am looking for a good multivitamin, and I am wondering about B3. Niacin/nicotinic acid is clearly not that good to take every day (vasodilator and hepatotoxic). Niacinamide/nicotinamide appears to be safer for long term use.
Problem:

I am aware that the doses used on the gerbils are huge and do not in any way correspond to the amount in a typical multivitamin, but... how important is the sedative effect of nicotinamide in humans ?
The multivitamin I want to buy is manufactured by Nutraceutical corp under the brand Solaray and contains:
B1 - thiamine nitrate - 7.5 mg
B2 - riboflavine - 8.5 mg
B3 - nicotinamide - 100 mg (four-five times the RDA...)
B5 - pantothenic acid - 50 mg
B6 - pyridoxine chlorhydrate - 10 mg
B8 - biotin - 150 mcg
B9 - folic acid - 200 mcg
B12 - cyanocobalamin - 30 mcg
C - ascorbic acid - 300 mg
Choline bitartrate - 75 mg
Inositol - 75 mg
PABA - 7.5 mg
Thanks in advance for any help,
