I've read that rosacea can be caused by an infection with h. pylori. You might try some mastic gum and high-dose vitamin C. Topically, a lipoic acid/ascorbyl palmitate cream will bring down redness.

Ok, I'll try that. How effective exactly? I just mainly have some redness and inflammation, no acne or anything like that. Not even positive I have rosacea.

And what is megadose vit A dose wise?

Thanks

I realize high dose retinol will help with acne for sure. But I am wondering if the redness associated with rosacea due to vascular problems will be treated with that.

In my experience, the best ways of dealing with rosacea are:

* get regular aerobic exercise
* get plenty of sleep every night
* avoid exposing your face to extreme hot or cold temperatures
* get laser facial treatments from a qualified dermatologist

Ester-C is the prefered form of vitamin C for rosacea.

baby aspirin (or aspirin cut in 1/4th), will reduce inflammation when you know you will get hot (exercise, sauna...)

Calendula oil topically is very good

Exfoliating your skin with Epsom Salts and/or Aspirin makes wonders too

Green tea is good (surprisingly), but coffee, alcohol, gingko etc are bad.

Also, bad skin is associated to too much acidity in the body (something very common these days, with all the meat/processed food we eat). For example, in the morning make yourself a juice with 1 grapefruit, 2 citruses and 2 limes + unrefined Sea Salt. This drink tastes acidic, but really it is very alkanizing for the body.

Go crazy on the probiotics too.

And oh, you might not care/believe, but in eastern medecine (and sometimes western too) skin is associated to the liver.

I just ended up my 2nd liver/gallbladder flush (http://www.curezone....ldas_recipe.asp ), and really, my skin has not been the same since then.

I woke up during the night of the 2nd flush, after consuming the oil mix, which surcharges the liver, and I almost freaked out when I saw the mirror. I was the most red I had been in the last months, by far. I could feel the heat radiating from my face and was pretty red, something surprising for my moderate rosacea.

The next morning I dumped so many green and yellow stones in 10 or so bower movements, it was really an experience. And I don't care wether these stones are from the gallbladder or are created by the liver flush protocol (common argument on this topic), the fact is the flush DOES force your liver and gallbladder to pass bile and toxins stuck there. My diarrhea had the smell of toxic waste, with various "metallic" and other foul smells. Crazy.

Since that day (a month), for the first time I've got back my pale cheeks, I even dropped the baby asprin I used to take to prevent flushing and thus damage to the capilaries. I used to feel hot and look reddish especially at night (after a fatty meal?), since that day this effect has gone away?!?

Look around the forums there, you'll see MANY posts about acne and rosacea, and reports of miraculous cures.

I also used to have lower back pain on the right side, and this has almost disappeared too?? (pressure from inflated liver/gallbladder???)

Call me crazy, but to date this is the best thing I've ever done for my skin. Can't tell you how happy I am.

Something to consider, as we often think in the form of Input (what supplements to take), when really, the imbalance should be tackled with a view on the Output (how to clean the body from the hundreds of different kinds of pesticids, insecticides, heavy metals, industrial waste etc we accumulate).

Ester-C is the prefered form of vitamin C for rosacea.

Very unlikely. Ascorbic acid or a mineral ascorbate are preferable.
