Copper Regulation in the Brain

We all know copper is an essential micronutrient for the body, but what about for the brain. Here is an interesting article shedding some light on how copper functions within nerve cells. Does anyone else have any other information on copper regulation in the brain. I wonder what is the optimal amount for proper health. Is the RDA about right? Is too much harmful? Any thoughts?

Information on copper seems to be pretty nebulous. On one hand, zinc supplementation (and probobly many others) inhibit copper absorption. On the other hand, alot of information states that many people have high amounts of copper due to piping, pots, and their diet in general. Also, the exact zinc to copper ration is a subject of debate. I think I'm going to get a blood test soon to check out my levels.
