Fashion is a highly subjective thing, moreso than most would admit. The big trends are just the result of many people lacking in willpower having trends forced upon them. There are also many people who happen to like the trendy stuff, I do quite often myself, it is only inevitable considering the latest thing is always right in front of you.
As for Jons collection, I'd try to stay away from the stylized name approach, big names can get away with it, but new names need to be a bit more tenative at the start. I liked the one I linked to earlier because of the way it was shaped, would look absolutely fantastic on a woman with a good figure.
The statue... premature I'm afraid. Not enough people even recognise transhumanism and life extension as the way forward yet. In the future it is no doubt possible, if not probable that momuments to leaders in these fields will be erected. At the moment its a bit much.
I'm in agreement with the mitmeister here, if his opinion is hard to accept, you have to take a look at the vicious fickle nature of fashion consumers and see he is being tame by comparison.
My advice on the fashion line, keep the more vintage items, they look pretty good, with the non vintage stuff in brighter colours, consider adopting a more tongue in cheek approach to the visibility of the branding.
