I don't know if this has been suggested or is being done right now, but if it hasn't it seems to me like it'd be worth a try.


Mice chimera experiments. Make mice with single organs or organ systems composed mostly of cells from a long-living mammal(e.g. humans, etc), and see which or which combination provides the greatest life extension if any.
