It is my third week on modafinil now,it is very usefull to be alert, but for focus in my opinion it doesnt help very much.
Before modafinil i drunk lots off black coffee not to fall asleep during the day.

To stay alert modafinil is very good,i have also more drive and motivation, but also a lot of running thoughts inside of me.I am feeling awake etc, but when concentrating on smth my mind seems to block out everything else that's going around me(like someone noticed in this forum before). I'm a person who has a lot of inner dialogue going on in my head and on modafinil this becomes more intense that I am constantly in situations where I haven't noticed at all what has meanwhile happened "outside".(this is when i take more than 100 mg a day).

I used strattera before(the same for ritalin, very good for focus IMO,completely "outside" no inner dialogue...but bad sideeffects)

Do you have any suggestions if i can mix modafinil with anything?(perhaps piribedil or pyritinol)
(deprenyl didnt work for focus, and inner dialgue is getting more intense)

Mixing modafinil with piribedil or pyritinol would most likely worsen your inner dialogue and to me looks like a dangerous combo. I would highly suggest against it. I too get that same effect from modafinil and its because your brain is firing at a very fast rate and probably in directions it doesnt need to go.

To alleviate these symptoms you need to keep the electrical currents down a bit and create some GABA cussions to bounce the ideas in the right direction.I would try bacopa, magesium/taurine combo, ashwagandha, l-theanine,or a combination of all. Adding fish oil probably wouldnt hurt either.

This is where i could see modafinil having the potential for damaging effects in people with anxiety disorders. Not having enough GABA and overactive glutamate production in the brain brings haven for overexcitation with stimulants in my opinion.

In other words. If i take modafinil parts of the brain have a higher rate of activitiy.
If i take too much modafinil then there is a point this firing rate is getting to high.
The same I noticed when i take modafinil, and then drink a cup of coffee.(I think the same will happen if i would add anything which is activating)

I have ordered bacopa and theanine to see what will happen if i take a small dose of modafinil plus bacope or theanine ;)

why would it be bad to mix modafinil and Pyritinol ?

wouldnt they work well together?

maybe break the modifinil pill (take 50mg) and Pyritinol (100mg or 50mg)
