A friend of mine dug up that article yesterday and linked me to it. Now this is something which appear very real, and completely scary. However it is clear that the White House, the Pentagon and task force against terrorism has been aware of this for quite some time. I'm not far from New York city, so if this ever happens, then North Americans are toast, even those not in the close viscinity of large U.S centers, because of nuclear fallout.

For those of you who don't know the MS-13 street gang is known to be the most violent one of all, at least I don't know of any other beside them to be as violent.

The article is worth reading, but it's spooky to say the least.

That article is a mishmash of lies and rumors. None of it is backed up with anything at all. Ask yourself how a mexican street gang whose main income is peddling dope on the street is going to aquire a nuke from russia? Why would russia have any dealings with them even if they had the millions it would take? You might as well read the inquirer or star and believe their alien stories and Elvis sightings.

Seriously though, I wondered whether it was true or not, cause if we think about it, Al Qaeda is for real, and they see the U.S. as the great satan and have already proven they're capable of much harm and terrorism. However It may very well be a mishmash of lies and rumors too.

WorldNetDaily is a right wing extremist nutcase rag. These are people who want you to be scared. A scared populace is easy to manipulate into giving up their freedoms, among other things. How do you think the American people were fooled into letting the Neocons start a civil war in Iraq?

I doubt we have much to fear from that article, but I think the threat of terrorists detonating a nuclear bomb in a major city somewhere in the world is very likely.
Especially if country's that sponsor terrorism like Iran go nuclear, but even that's not really necessary. There's probably enough missing uranium from the former Soviet Union to go around.

I agree that Iran does seem headed for a confrontation, but it's not about hate. Fear is the driving force. Fear that Iran will bomb them first. I don't blame the Isrealis, Iran has stated the they want to annihilate them. the Isrealis have never said they want to annihilate the Iranians

Even if the initial article isn't based entirely on fact, I believe that unless something is invented that can locate and disarm hidden suitcase-size nuclear bombs, the grim outcome is inevitable. Let's face it, if Al Qaeda had the means to plant a nuclear bomb in the center of every major US metropolitan area, they would. I can imagine demands being made on our country that unless we submit--to who knows what--then one by one, the bombs will be detonated. They'd have no problem making good on that threat. What could we do? We could retaliate by bombing cities in the Mideast, but I don't think that would stop them by any means. The terrorists have already proven that they have no fear of death. They even welcome it.

If not Al Qaeda, then someone else will do this in time. If it can be done, it will be done. Let's hope that someone figures out how to stop it before it happens.

I thought that nuclear weapons had gamma radiation signatures that could be recognized by sensors. I seem to remember reading somewhere that all entrances to NYC were covered by such sensors, but I could be mistaken. And isn't this what the Democrats want to put in all US ports?
