I hardly ever go to McDonalds, but every so often I like to get breakfast there. Looks like they might be adding it all day:

excellent. Their breakfast stuff is the best and I never wake up in time for it :)

(in addition to being the best it is also pure poison :)) )

Well, that's evolution working against us. Somehow, evolution didn't didn't see this one coming: the combination of McDonald's for breakfast and sitting at a computer desk all day for employment.

I am just worried about the temptation, and if I will be able to keep myself from eating it too much.

Cost keeps me from eating too much McD's breakfast...

Now the dollar menu? Oh boy, that one gets me in trouble from time to time. Double Cheesburgers (often cheaper than the cheeseburgers), McChicken sandwiches.... Yum.

[Buffy attempts to find out the secret ingredient of Doublemeat burgers.]

Buffy: Sorry, I was just curious.
Manny the Manager: Curiosity killed the cat.
Buffy: [whispers] Theory number 5: cat burgers.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buffy: We need to get that burger analyzed. We need to find out if it used to be people.
Xander: [with mouth full] What? People?
Buffy: Xander! You ate the burger?
Xander: Well, first you say it's cat. Then you come in, hand me a burger, blah blah blah, five minutes later, "Oh, by the way, it happens to be hot, delicious human flesh"?
Buffy: I needed that burger to analyze it. Now I'm gonna have to get another one.
Xander: That's your problem with this scenario? You getting seconds?

Det. Thorn: You tell everybody. Listen to me, Hatcher. You've gotta tell them! Soylent Green is people! We've gotta stop them somehow!

Skype Millions n Millions Served

One thing I've always wondered is why Skype doesn't embrace better statistics. Many years ago McDonalds actually counted the number of people served. Then one day it became billions and billions and all of a sudden that statistic no longer was relevant. Yet in the early days it provided a nice measure of success.

http://www.henshall....ves/000949.html

Synopsis

The story involves helpful alien emissaries, the telepathic Kanamits, giving mankind all the necessary tools to survive and to end wars and famine. As a further token of friendship they even freely transport humans to their paradise-like planet.

The aliens accidentally leave behind a book. A United Nations official (Mr. Chambers, played by Lloyd Bochner) and his staff take their time in deciphering the book by means of a rudimentary Kanamit-English dictionary. Eventually they are able to translate the title as "To Serve Man". Mr. Chambers signs up for a flight to the alien home world, as he climbs on board the ship for the trip, his assistant yells to him not to get on: "It's a cookbook!"

Come now, didn't Morgan Spurlock convince us all that McDonald's makes you die?

Wait, no, he didn't.

Morgan Spurlock was good in Super Size Me and 30 Days, but I still love my McDonald's breakfast.

Just say no to McDonald's!

That’s the spirit.

In my whole live I have probably eaten four times at McDonald's, and only a few French Fries.
And that's at least 5 years ago.

May be Prince Charles can get McDonald's banned! http://news.yahoo.co...britain_charles. Wouldn't it be nice if governments could be persuaded to to close down fast food operations, confiscate their property and profits, and funnel them into health and longevity research?

Ha, that's a laugh. Prince Charles, and Al Gore should get together. They're both the exact same kind of dumb asses.

The Royal pasty that's unhealthier than a Big Mac

Big Mac contains fewer calories, fats and salt than some products in his own organic Duchy Originals food range.
His Cornish pasty contains 264 calories per 100g compared to the burger's 229 calories, and 5.5g of saturated fat as opposed to the Big Mac's 4.14g.

You're right biknut they should practice what they preach so we can take them more seriously. Setting a good example would do wonders.

The knowledge is out there -
Let people use that information as they will

...I hate the stuff and haven't eaten it in years...I also think it stunted my brothers growth

But heck as long as it doesnt infringe upon my life or force me to pay more taxes
I could care less

And here I thought Communism was long gone.

From my understanding, true communism is when all private property and the monetary system is abolished. Such a system is only a theory and has yet to be established as noted by the Wikipedia entry on Communism. Confiscating the property and profits of a rogue corporation, doing serious damage to public health and reducing lifespans as well, would hardly qualify as communism.

Not in those terms. He did teach against hypocrisy. Notice, for example, Matthew 7:3-5. I guess that verse clearly fits Prince Charles according to the news article you posted the link to.

You should always be seriously concerned about what effects the health and well being of your fellowman as well as your brother. Junk food corporations are also forcing you to pay more in health care costs. See the report entitled High Costs Of Poor Eating Patterns In The United States, by Elizabeth Frazao of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

No, that would be about the worst thing ever.

Being a Libertarian, I am all for someone's right to choose to eat whatever they want and am very, very anti socialism and the government's ability to come in and tell us what we should and shouldn't do.

But,....perhaps you were just joking. In which case, [thumb]

The information is there - Not everyone has as much time or inclination to learn about healthy lifestyles as some of us do -

I help where I can and teach those who will listen...but we can't slap the fries out of their hand

Everyone has a right to peacefully express free will and choice -
Rather than closing down McDonald's I would favor that people be allowed to consume whatever they wish -

A junk food tax on some of the heavy hitting foods and restaurants would be a wiser idea - We should attack it the same way we attack cigarettes...You can smoke but a tax has been implemented to offset the future health costs to society

Not joking at all. Just think of all the benefits that would flow from all that money pumped into health and longevity research. The results would be a much better educated public. People would still have the choice to eat junk foods. They just wouldn't have the easy opportunities they now have to do it cheaply and quickly. They would have to make their own junk food at home.

Government is suppose to protect the welfare of the people. Allowing rogue corporations like McDonald's to take advantage of uneducated and weak willed people - especially children - is a serious dereliction of a government's duty in my opinion.
