I have read that alpha lipoic acid may interfere with the absorption of Biotin. If this is so, how much Biotin is needed per 100mg of alpha lipoic acid to compensate. And should they be taken at the same time or a few hours apart to let both of them have a chance to do their thing.

And is the Biotin absorption issue only apparent with the RS type version (I take the Na stabilised R version).

thanks.

One formulation, Jarrow Sustained Release, has 333 micrograms of biotin with 300 mg RS lipoic acid. I would expect the biotin problem to exist with RALA as well as RS-ALA. I don't think it matters much when you take the biotin.
