First post here. Awesome place, lots of knowledgeable posters!

I'm Male, 25, 5'6, 135 lbs. I've been on a poor diet all my life - very poor, on occassions 3 instant noodles for a day or just potato chips for lunch. But I've always exercised adequately. Health problems started surfacing last year. Started losing hair and sometimes experience minor ED. I'm now taking Finasteride 1.25mg, Nizoral 2%, and 5% Minoxidil for the hair. Lipido dipped a little but I can still get wood upon physical stimulation. That was the turning point where I did some thinking and decided to improve my health. I'm now eating a relatively good diet consisting mostly fruits and vegetable; (lots of milk with cereal which that I'm unsure about as I've read mixed review here about dairy products). My next step is to get a good supplement regimen going to complement my diet. This is where I need some help because I've never taken a supplement in my life, not even a multivitamin!

I've been lurking here for a week and learned abit of everyone's favourite supplement and came up with this list (special thanks to Cnorwood since I copied alot of his stuff given the fact that we are the same age). My main goals from the supplements is to get more energy, be able to concentrate and think better, try to fix my lipido and ED, and lastly, have better general health and longer life. I have a stressful job where I work 12 to 15 hours daily working with numbers, so I need all the help that I can get.

I've just moved to Asia so I want to order all my stuff from one store to save on shipping. Found the cheapest prices on Unique Nutrition. Yeah, I've read about UN's problems on here and it smells fishy. But I'm ordering brands from respected manufacturers so I figure as long as the bottle wasn't open, I'll be safe. There's one item, Piracetam, which I have no other choice but to buy the UN brand. Do you think I should avoid that since they don't have 3rd party testing?

Any other comments are most welcome. It's getting abit expensive for my budget so if you see anything which I don't really need, please point it out. On the other hand, if I'm missing anything crucial, let me know too! Thanks in advance.

I'm reading about it and am on the fence. I would love to add it, but most people here take 500 mg daily and that gets expensive quickly. I also read someone mention that a person my age doesn't really need it. What do you think? If it's going to be effective, I will add it because I think the benefits of better health justify the cost.

Update: I've been reading about LEF's Mitochondrial Energy Optimizer w/ SODzyme and it looks like a good product. I'm considerig to add that to my stack and half my consumption of LEF Benfotiamine and AOR R(+) SR. That adds about $30 to my monthly cost but I get the goodies that come with the Energy Optimizer like Rhodiola, ALCAR Arginate, Carnosine, and SODzyme.

LEF is an outstanding brand ... but I would also consider the NOW brand as a excellent, yet cheaper (usually), alternative.

I'd just buy powdered, pure Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) ... 3lbs (1.4 million mg) of the NOW brand costs $24.85 at iHerb.com - no need for the fancy Vitamin C, IMO.

NOW Whey Protein Isolate 5lbs is $33.29 at iHerb.

And +1 to Resveratrol! NOW Resveratrol is $9.80 for 60 caps also at iHerb.
