Dr Stuart Lipton M.D. Ph.D., Director of Del E. Webb Center for Neurosciences and Aging at the University of California at San Diego did a presentation on UCSD TV on Cox channel 135 last night. I only caught the last few minutes, mostly about stem cells, but in the recap he mentioned resveratrol.

The presentation will repeat at 4AM on Wed (30-May) on ch135. I've got it set up for Tivoing.

Ok, I watched the re-run. The begining is interesting. Dr Lipton says that blueberries and vitamin E are the best natural antioxidants, but still aren't all that great. He says that resveratrol is better. And then I fell asleep. I'll watch the rest and try to report.

One very interesting fact he mentioned was that his center has NIH's fifth largest monetary award in the nation for health study. I think it's interesting that he's spending it on aging.
