I'm surprised I couldn't find any postings about GTS-21 here. It's a nicotinic cholinergic agonists that's being tested as a "cognitive enhancer". Obviously that's not going to past muster by the FDA as a cognitive enhancer in and of itself, so it's being tested in its effectiveness in treating Alzheimer's and ADHD.

http://www.nature.co...df/1300028a.pdf -Safety, pharmacokinetics, and effects on cognitive function of multiple doses of GTS-21 in healthy, male volunteers. -The phase I clinical trial results. The table on the 7th page shows that normal subjects experienced a very significant improvement on a number of cognitive parameters. Treatment period 3 involves the highest dose of 150 mg.

Anyways, there's a good chance I'll be able to get in as a subject for Phase II trials being conducted in July. I realize there's a 50% chance I get the placebo, but it's still an exciting prospect nonetheless. I'll update this with more information as it develops.
