Well I am considering getting a my hormone levels measured. Is there a kit online I should buy, or should I see an endocrinologist? How much will this cost me? How often do you folks get your hormone levels tested? Thanks ahead of time. Cheers.

A doctor isn't likely to order all your hormones just because you're curious or want to live longer. So I recommend buying the LEF one. They'll send you to Labcorp, or if there isn't one near you they send you the vials (and prepaid UPS shipping materials) and you have to find a blood drawing station yourself. My station charged me $38 just to have my blood drawn. That's more than what a CBC costs!

It all depends on what you want done. I agree with krillin on the LEF. I like their options. You can usually con your doctor into ordering some tests (but it will be limited based upon your "symptoms"). Or, you can find saliva tests online fairly easily for basic hormonal measurements.

A bit of health research will show that avoiding certain foods and activities (even emotional reactions) will balance out the hormones. In daily eating, I make sure to stay well hydrated and consume some good, uncooked fats (nuts, seeds, avocado, oils...)

Have you watched the documentary/movie, "What The Bleep Do We Know?" Google it. :)
