Here, except during the 300 dinner. It doesn't seem to say what time exactly that is -- I'll try to find out. For now evening seems fairly safe to presume.

Whereabouts in Cambridge? Is this open to me and Biopunk? Can people not attending the conference come? What time?

yes Aubrey, i'm afraid yet again I can't make it... but I'll be delivering Mondey into your good cares - it would be nice to see you, but I suppose you'll be busy elsewhere?

This meeting is a very informal meet-up for everyone: conference attendees, 300 members, UK Imminstlers, anyone curious. Dey, Kevin, Osiris, John and I did this two years ago, and it was really nice.
We'll most likely meet in Cambridge city center from midday to late afternoon... details forthcoming.

On August 27-28 there will be a related meeting in Moscow, Russia, for those who are interested:

Consider this as a "pre-SENS" meeting, if you wish :-D

Hope it helps,

I'm afraid I cannot attend. I am quite furious, I was hoping school started on Wednesday.

Skip school. I'm not sure what its like in england, but in canada they don't hang you for missing a day of school... sometimes they don't even notice you're missing.

It is my first day in 6th form.
I am still considering attending the meeting, but they will be arranging students into forms etc. No doubt that if I do skip school nothing permanent will come about it... Little or no academic time will be lost... Yet everyone else will be settling into the 6th form block... Perhaps I will come.

Tell me about it, in grade 12 I missed probably 100 classes and was never even approached. My university attendance (when I actually take in-class courses, I try to do correspondence so that I don't have to drive to school everyday) is like 10%, and I'm in my 3rd year already. As long as you get the work in by the end of the semester, and display that you've learned enough, or are clever enough to pass the exam/assignments, then you pass the course. Gotta love Canada sometimes.

While the conference itself is bound to be immensely educational, this pre-conference meeting has a purely social function. As such, Imminst cannot condone anyone skipping school. :))

Does anyone have a preference regarding where to meet?
When and where will the 300 dinner take place?

I have decided to call into school and tell them I can't be there. I'm not yet sure what I'll tell them, but I don't think I'll say I'm in Cambridge.

300 dinner will be in the riverside restaurant of the Garden House Hotel.

A preference regarding where to meet would be someplace easy to find for someone that has never been to Cambridge ;))

How about the outdoor cafe in the market square (next to starbucks) where we met last time?

Nothing in Cambridge is easy to find, but anybody you ask will know where the market square is, so it shouldn't be hard to get directions.

Hi everybody,
we will meet from 12 midday onwards in the Pub Anchor, just two steps away from the Queens College, where the SENS conference will be. We will have an imminst book on the table, so you can easily recognise us.

Here is a link and a map:
http://www.cambridge...r Street Bridge

Hope to see you all.

Greetings Mondey

Zaaans! Where have you been for the past few months? This is Adam by the way.

Adam! I ended up spending the summer in Latvia, just got back a few weeks ago. And now that I'm here I think we should meet up sometime after the SENS event!
Expect a longer e-mail from me in the near future.

I have decided to call into school and tell them I can't be there. I'm not yet sure what I'll tell them, but I don't think I'll say I'm in Cambridge.

Glad to hear that! We shall meet once more on the 5th then.

It turned out that I'll be missing my first day as well on the tenth, but my teacher didn't mind. Well, at least the person who was giving out my timetable didn't mind.

I'll have to e-mail my tutor and get a formal excuse later today.

t'was a curios meeting but very nice.

Apologies to those I missed, and to those busy people -in particular Kevin and Aubrey- who I did not manage to say my goodbyes to on Thursday morn.

I trust the conference is of the usual high quality and spirits. Please feel encouraged to share insights, pictures, impressions.
