Just thought I would add some current stuff through 2006. I received my "State of the Climate" issue of BAMS a couple months ago and have been meaning to share some of the data. I had to scan the stuff out of the journal. I hope it is readable.

Here are three different temperature trend graphs. All three use SST and Land surface temperature readings. They are slightly different but all show the warm-up through the 20th century and the recent decade-long plateau. (also, although minor, the recent U.S. temp corrections are not reflected in this data)

And for those that buy into the Algore position that the world is doomed within a decade, here is a little nugget of good news. CO2 increases, but methane and CO are decreasing in the last handful of years. Methane is theorized to be responsible for 20% of AGW.
