I've discussed the subject of HRT with a retired endocrinology researcher not long ago, and he himself administered rHGH for some time, and he said that each and every time he had side-effects, and that the beginning phases of HRT entails side-effects. Eventually, he stopped using rHGH.

There's my primary care physician and then I have another M.D. an anti-aging M.D. that I see every now and then, and he'd like to see me take a 3 month's course of low dose rHGH, if my IGF-1 is still below 150--those are from the units used in Canada, so it may not may 150 may not be the norm in the U.S.

I'm more than hesitant to go on rHGH even on very low maintenance dosing.

I provided the instance of rHGH here, but it could have been Testocream, gel, patches or injections, progesterone, DHEA, pregnenolone and Cortef.

of course my thinking is : I prefer my own body to make it's own hormones, and I'm quite a bit reluctant to mess with the HPTA and it's delicate feedback loop. Once disturbed it sometimes never fully recover, and I have friends on HRT and I have tons of instances of incessant fine tuning they keep telling me about. HRT/TRT isn't passive as one consistently seem to have to fine tune or modulate dosage of Testogel, watch for E2 levels, SHBG etc....

I don't think many of you on here are on any form of HRT, unless maybe those taking DHEA.

Anyway, at this point in my life (age 35) I'm not a big proponent to HRT, however if this proves to be very beneficial in the long run, I'll consider this avenue. It's just that until now, I've seen so many people having a terrible time finding a balance while on HRT.

Thanks all
