Has anyone ever heard of the Miami project. I just heard on ESPN that a cold solution was injected into Kevin Everett (spinal cord/neck injury/paralysis in a football game on Sunday), in order to improve his chances of living and recovering.

Here is an article that touches on the procedure

Apparently it has been researched for 20 years. I didn't get all the details from TV. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard of it.

Hmm interesting. The replay of that hit, and the way he crunched up on the ground after it looked pretty brutal. I hope he can recover at least partially.

I think some companies are working on this type of cryo technology. Hopefully they can get portable units that will work in the field too.
