Does anyone have info on where to order medical grade botox in order to skip visiting a doctor and the high payments that go with it. I have read that all doctors pay the same price per unit for botox and all they do is inject it in the right places. The markup on this stuff is insane and the whole procedure only costs the doc a few dollars. Where would I go to find quality botox that I can inject at home?

A google search comes up with lots of results, like this one: http://www.rxpad.biz...ons_p/botox.htm

You have to have a prescription to be able to buy them, though.

I would still strongly recommend going to a qualified professional, as at home injections could be quite dangerous.

I'm all about being frugal, but there is a degree of skill that goes with administering the botox injections. At least the first time you're considering going this route I would highly recommend having it professionally done to gain a better understanding of what is involved (and even after that I personally wouldn't be willing to "risk my face" to save a few bucks...you might wind up doing A LOT more harm than good).

Beta Glucan, Hesperidin, DMAE, tretinoin and arnica montana, there's your home botox.

Sounds like a pretty bad idea to me. If you mess things up it will be worse than doing nothing at all.

This seems like a crazy risk to take to save a few bucks.

You will notice the lack of wrinkles on the left side of the face however.

Botox is an extremely potent poison, please don't inject yourself.

Actually, the medical grade botulinum toxin only contains a tiny fraction of the amount that would be required to be a lethal dose. (very low toxicity level) Still not a good idea, though, as muscle paralysis of the wrong muscle can occur quite easily for those that don't know what they are doing. (fortunately it would wear off after 6 months or so maximum, but it might be a bad 6 months if you looked like the guy in the above pic) Also, some people have an allergic reaction to botox, and if you were not in a medical facility with professionals (who probably would have tested if you were allergic before undertaking the procedure) then you could be very screwed very quickly.

In general, there is very good reason why medical procedures are done by professionals in a medically safe place.

wootwoot your initial question is a valid question but the answer to the question is simple. Take it from elrond who is studying medicine.

Home botox injections is a very bad and unsafe choice.
