I just came across this recent article from VRP in their recent monthly newsletter where they had a focus on age breakers. I do not find their product that potent (see below) and would supplement with these agents individually, but it was interesting to note that they also claim that Guava and Yerba Mate are potent age-breakers - In one study, the latter seems to perform as well as the standard antiglycation agent aminoguanidine. They also mentioned NAC but I assume this one is a bit risky to consider referring to the other recent thread on its possible adverse effects.
So what do people think around here - should we consider supplementing with guava and Yerba Mate or are we covered adequately with Carnonsine, ALA and Benfotiamine? - Does anyone have an overview of which age breakers to take for the various phases of the cross-linking/glycation impact - I think I once read here e.g. that Carnosine is good at reducing recent/daily agebreaking whereas ALT-71 works better on past impact - hence making them complimentary. Does anyone has a good age-breaking supplement protocol which covers the different phases?
I hope some of the expert residence here can share some more thoughts on this.
