Australian math whiz invents easy and practical way to boost ADSL speeds 100 times.

He said others had researched the same area but his project was attracting significant interest because it was more practical and easier to implement.

If it is successfully licensed to equipment vendors, Dr Papandriopoulos expects the technology to be implemented by internet providers around the world within two or three years.

Seeing how everything in my area is going to fiber..., I guess it is a good thing for those areas which are more remote.

I wonder if this algorithm can speed POTS access. I see no data about that but seems the same difficulty with crosstalk would be there too.
