OK, I am a very busy student. I had been toying with the idea of modafinil for about a year or more and decided to give it a go. Money is tight but after doing some looking I bought a 100 pack of 100 mg tabs of Modafinil for about $90 or $100.

When the package came I frantically ripped it open. Finally would I be able to stay up on an over nighter studying and feel in top performance. Or if I hadn't had much sleep on a night I would be able to be alert during the day if I hadn't gotten much sleep the night before.

Of course I knew not to get too carried away and do this all of the time, but it would be nice to do this when I needed to.

So when it came I took one very quickly. I was a bit out of it but not exhausted. I was looking forward to that peppy alive feeling that I have heard described. I also knew that it wasn't meant to be dramatic like the buzz from lots of caffine.

Anyway, I started feeling a bit sick and jittery as the day went on but decided that my body was obviously just getting used to this drug and in times it would even out or I would learn how to take it in a smaller dose or something. When I first started ritalin for my ADD it was the same way. I had to bear it a few weeks before I got used to it.

I actually started to doze off a few times during the day. Weird.

That night I decided to try to pull an all nighter on the stuff. I took one and got to work. I closed my blinds and turned on lots of lights to feel more awake, and also ate an apple and made a cup of yerba mate because those tend to be good for helping me with all nghters. I felt just as tired as I normally would. Around 2 I gave up and went to bed.

The next morning my alarm went off and I was quite tired. I took a tab. I dozed off for another hour, woke up too late for the first class, and took another tab.

I've felt pretty normal throughout the day since then.

Is this my body not knowing how to respond to the drug or is it working because I'm alert or is it not working at all or what? Right now I'm really dissapointed. i feel like I really got ripped off.
