Within this night
We see a spark,
Beyond the edge
That cuts the flesh
Of we who reach
Into the dark.
With lessons taught,
And less ones learnt,
With held and brought,
On crosses burnt,
Hang those who sought,
And those who weren’t.
And... bit by bit,
And... piece by piece,
And... cut by cut,
We lose ourselves
To life’s decay,
Too soon to pray
For our release.
Within this light,
