Since I have not studied pharmacology or neurology, bare with me!
AOR says: Bacopa Enlighten is Bacopa monniera Linn, a herb used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for support of cognitive function. Recent science supports this role along with powerful neuroprotective effects through the upregulation of the brains own antioxidant defense enzymes.
Will the combination of antioxidants and Bacopa have a synergistic effect? I am interested in taking Bacopa for about two months along with antioxidant rich sources such as blueberries, pomegranate, and cocoa.
I ask this question because I understand that antioxidants are highly beneficial to brain health, but I do not want to mislead myself in thinking that taking high amounts of antioxidants with Bacopa will work synergistically if effects are seen.
I would appreciate any criticism. If there is reason to believe that there is validity to this idea, I just might purchase antioxidants in pill form for higher doses.
