Entry at MindHacks

Google video link:

Excerpt from mindhack:

The programme looks at the history of psychedelic drug research when it was still easily possible, focusing on Osmond and Hoffer's early work on using LSD in treating addiction and facilitating psychotherapy.

It's also got loads of great historical footage from the early research but also talks to the new generation of researchers looking at compounds such as ayahuasca and ibogaine, who are now the senior figures in this growing area.

Yeah, thanks for posting the video cnorwood! I saw the part about the use of Ibogaine in the treatment of narcotics addiction. I have two friends who are suffering from long term addictions to Vicodin and I put them up on Ibogaine as a possible solution. The only problem is we all live in the United States where Ibogaine is illegal and the almost $5,000 for treatment in Canada is too much. We're trying to figure out a cheaper alternative.

We're too poor even for vacations. I'm thinking more along the lines of getting some through the mail. I noticed some places on the link you gave me where I might be able to do this. Because Ibogaine isn't a commonly abused substance, they probably don't have drug sniffing dogs trained to sniff it out (I hope :~). Double thanks for the link!
