I’ve been reading the threads on this site which have IMENSILY helped me so far (THANKS:), but I feel like I can’t completely get it together.

I remember being super happy, outgoing, social, ultra creative, loved playing music and being able to learn quickly (play 5 instruments) and just basically spunky.

A few years ago (im 25 now) about when I was 22, I started to become basically depressed, anxious, and just bla. I went to a psychiatrist who prescribed 1st - Lexapro - This pretty much made me feel worse, then 2nd - adderall. It seemed to be what I needed. It made the world come back together for me, made me want to basically "do stuff" whatever that means. For 2 years or so it has eaten away my life. Everything seemed to revolve around adderall, and I found myself being totally happy staying in and reading a book on a Sat night as opposed to going out with friends. I was totally anti-social, my piano, drums, paints, everything sat and collected dust. It was soooo frustrating. I would sit at my piano to play, and I DIDNT FEEL ANYTHING!!!!

After too long of a time of being scared to stop adderall, I did about 5 weeks ago (YEAH:) I feel relieved in so many ways, I started to write again, I started to love music again, weee!!...however, I’ve been taking supplements to help me out, but the too familiar super depression is leering back.

I’ve been studying myself for a long time, and from what I learned in school (Study science + psych @ SUNY SB) and researched, and recently read about in "the edge effect", I have way too much Serotonin and problematically low Dopamine and Acetylcholine (both witch im trying to fix with supplements, diet and lifestyle)

I’ve researched supplements, drugs, read everyone’s helpful input on this site, and have been trying to work out doses, schedules, combinations, etc. And sometimes, I feel wonderful, like how I remember being, but, alot of the time I don’t. Allot of the time, I can’t even get myself to get up out of bed to take the supps, and I’ve been trying different combos, but I keep finding new info on "x shouldn’t be combined with y", and "don’t take x if you’re taking y", etc....

If you can take a look and give me any guidance, suggestions, info, I will greatly appreciate everything. I’m hoping to improve my Acetylcholine and dopamine, but NOT serotonin or GABA, and basically cognitive enhancement, mood support, motivation, and creativity.

I’m currently taking and trying to figure out doses, combos, times, etc, for:
exercise

Piracetam
Aniracitam
Oxiracitam
Tianiptine
Seligine
Alpha GPC
Vinpocitine

Mucuna
DLPA
DMAE
Tyrosine
B-150
DHA/EPA
Pyrintol
Alpha lipoic Acid
Women’s Multi Vitamin
Inositol
Phosphatidylserine
Actyl L-Carnitine
Rhodiola Rosea
NADH
Huperzine A

and have been trying to take Hydergine 2.25mg, but it makes me really nauseated.

I just got a bike (YEAH! It has a basket too!) and ride a lot, as well as yoga and gymnastics. My diet contains a lot of Peanutbutter, sprouted whole grain bread, lots of tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, chicken, and fish, and soy chips.
thanks guys;)

Sounds like you are doing a great job treating yourself, and welcome-- I hope you continue to find useful information here. :~ It is great that you have a psychiatrist to work with too! I like your handle too :)

what are your symptoms? you feel tired, unmotivated, absent-minded. how exactly does depression affect you?
how do racetams affect you on their own? how do they affect you with alpha gpc? what about if taken with deprenyl?
you want an interesting suggestion that may seem a little bit bizzare? try stopping racetams for about a week. or dramatically decrease the dosage. keep the dosage of alpha gpc same as if you were taking racetams. see how it affects you first. if you feel better drop the racetams, or increase dosage of alpha gpc. judging from a personal experience, i feel depressed, unmotivated, and irritated unless i take a huge amount of choline with racetams.
increasing deprenyl will most likely help you out as well.
also, the amount you're taking at once is rather impressive, but it will be very hard for anyone to say which one of the nootropics does good or bad.

I feel so tired and unmotivated. I’m falling asleep during the day while taking the above listed supplements! My concentration has greatly improved, and I wish that I could actually get up and get out to put it to use!! I’ve been reading a lot on Modafinil. I recently ordered some and will try 200mg in the morning.

Thanks, Ill try the Alpha GPC without the racetams for a bit and see how I feel. I take 300mg of Alpha GPC 3x a day. Is that too small of a dose? I also read about CDP Choline and recently ordered some to try. Are you familiar with CDP and if it may work as well/better than Alpha GPC?

I currently take 5mg of Depranyl 2x a day. I think its wonderful;) though I wish it were 10x as powerful. Im reluctant to take more due to reading that it will inhibit MAO-A as well as MAO-B if taken in too large of a dose.

Its scary for me. I feel like Ill never be the same person I used to be. There are points when I take larger amounts of supplements in experimenting, and I actually get a taste of how I was, I feel like myself for a moment. I get a feeling of "let me call my friend to make plans to get together" or "Let me go to the park just to take a walk" Only to then etiher crash from taking too many supps or experiance wierdness when they wear off.

Adderall is a mega dopamine enhancer. It kept me awake and I felt less depressed, but the side effects make it totally not worth it. I know im in serotonin and Gaba overdrive. I could care less about everything and sleep all day. And that’s what makes me so totally depressed and nervous. I WANT to WANT TO DO THINGS!! Its fun! I want to get a mental "high" from writing a new song on the piano and playing live music with my friends. I want to look forward to seeing my friends, or get excited...about anything! becuase its so wierd, I just dont:(

Do you think something could have messed up my brain chemistry? Do you think I could have messed up my brain chemistry further by taking adderall?
thanks;)

Thank you!;) I found that I'm pretty much on my own with nootropics and supplements. My Psychiatrist is more familiar in providing aid in the forms of amphetamines and benzos. booo!
:)
