I was reading LEF's magazine and it had an article about NSAIDs blocking melatonin production. Here is a study I found which basically claims the same thing.

I am wondering if this applies to Turmeric, and if it does, would melatonin supplements make up the difference.

The typical NSAID works through the cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and/or COX-2) pathway. Does turmeric work this way? I'm not a turmeric-head, but I'm inclined to think not. My expectation would be that turmeric is safe with respect to melatonin production.

Yes, turmeric (curcumin) is a COX-2 inhibitor but not a COX-1 inhibitor.
