Assuming you had access to any and all current technologies and unlimited funds - what would you want done?

Also, what types of new biotech interventions would you like to see in the near future?

-------

I'll take the first stab;

I'd like a deep brain stimulation pacemaker of the pleasure centers, and brodman's area 25 simultaneously

open access to all chemicals for personal ingestion

A personal catering service with all organic vegan food (i did say money was no object)

A plethora of doctors monitoring all markers of aging and recommending substances to reduce their activity

Full genetic mapping and ability to change and add genes selectively

...a home I'd never have to leave to do slave labor for the empire of GNP and judeo/christian norms, but could invite all my friends to...

I think enhancing the eyes with more variety of opsins would be cool. If we could get a larger colour spectrum (and not just based on a combination of three factors) we'd see the world in an entirely new light.

I also think that getting enhanced musculature would be fantastic. We're often limited in what we do based on our physical capabilities. A bit of an edge would be fantastic.

Unsure if this is pertinent to the topic; I not too long ago viewed some type of program on The Discovery Channel, "Super Humans" something like that. I am not sure if anyone here also saw the particular program I am speaking of. There are people out there that see sound/music in colours; people who are extremely brilliant(I believer they call the guy "The Human Calculator"); other. I can't imagine how it is like for those sorth of individuals especially the ones that see different colours based on distinct sounds.

That's called synesthesia, if you want to watch some google videos on the topic. It's a pretty cool event in brain wiring.

Edit: Regarding my prior post above; "believer" was ment to be "believe" also "sorth" is misspelt and should be "sort".

So that's the name of the condition; good to know. Going back to the documentary; I think, if my memory is correct, Mr. Ray Kurzweil was also in it speaking about Life Extension.
