I think that instead of letting companies exploit other countries and sell products in USA we should stand up. I see an America of the future. One where most products are american made. An America that would be proud of the work force and its products. And as for foreign work permits, won't exist. We would be the police of the world. We will NOT fund other poor countries. We will take care of our own poor and sick. Untill we take care of our own issues and problems why should we embark on other countries worries and problems. Is it our problem, the tax payers, that other government cant support themselves? NO. I am proud of America. I am proud to be an American. But i think we should do something about these growing problems. I think that a form of isolationsim would benefit us right now. We import far more than we export. And if we need oil, why beat around the bush, lets take that country for our own. Lets not deface the name of democracy for our whim to make war and greed. Lets impose some sort of doctrine to be taught at every school about the power and pride of Americans. Let it be known that we are the most powerful country and people on this earth. It should be taught that it is our destiny to spread the ways of our people and democracy. Our people need a cause. Our people crave more than a 9-5 job working for capitalists that send their HQ overseas. That's the problem in america. There is a nationwide apathy. Im also sick and tired of the fake patriots. It shouldn't take a terrorist act to have people spewing U.S. pride and waving our flag once more. There should be a us flag in every home and public place. We need change!

Almost everybody, but not all apparently, recognizes the interconnectedness and interdependence of the world peoples, resources, and economies. The isolationalism, strong arm tactics and reinforced nationalism you advocate are not 'change'... they are the status quo! If you REALLY want the change you so ardently express, maybe you should rethink your position and at least realize that the although SOME of the problems of the present day involve connections with outside parties, the direction to move is not 'backwards' by breaking these connections, but perhaps forwards by enhancing and strengthening them in ways that benefit everyone. Granted, it takes a little more work and effort and vision to arrive at solutions which fit the bill and unfortunately very few of our leaders today have the vision or will to break out of old patterns of political structures, but someone told me, "If you continue to do what you've always done, you'll get what you always got." Change is indeed required, but not by the methods you propose.

I want to see results, not hopes and projections. We might need to stepback in order to take a different path forward. I just think that we need a sense of pride in america--not greed. I am sick of people going to school to make more money. Or taking a job they hate for the money. No one seems to give a crap about anything else. These mindless slaves for the dollar could be ran by anybody as long as they get money. The bloated old men who run this country could get away with anything. Not many people care about politics--Unless it is big corps stealing their money.
