Yea. You have to see the rest of the video. Many more creepy laughs by that guy. I couldn't stand laughing myself. Hasn't he noticed yet how ridiculous it sounds??

Anyways, the video is very cool. I didn't like those children in the woods with those wispers... i mean what the hell are they trying to convey? "The deviousness of the humans 2.0" or what?

And i liked very much the fact that that guy in the limo (chinese university professor goes around in limos? i didn't know china was that rich already), the professor/scientist who has a cautious position regarding strong AI, even he recognized that "late by this century" (in his own words, not sure how late he means), we will have AIs literally trillions of times more powerful than the human brain. And that we should be very careful when we create "these gods". Not that i agree with him, but i liked that even people who are kind of wary, to not say against, the creation of such intelligences do recognize that they will come in this century already.

That's about all i needed to know. Don't care about "how dangerous it is". Figure if i'm going to die of old age, i better take a shot at these SAIs and see what they can do. If they kill us all, well at least we had the chance and had real possibilities of finally beating aging (which i don't think that we with our current human intelligence will completely beat -we will need help-), which would kill us anyways.

I didn't like the editing. Yes, Seth Lloyd (a brilliant QM professor) has a strange laugh. The filmers specifically edited in the laugh to augment the creepiness. And the children added nothing to the film.

Showed this to my kids, thanks. The 11 year old and 9 year old just ran over to watch key parts, but the 6 year old liked it a lot! (I attribute this to it being pretty slow, and most the stuff in it the older ones already knew about) I thought his laugh was cute, not creepy! :)

Yea that was so dumb. Maybe to make it look more "mysterious" or something, i realize now. Should have an appeal for the person who has never seen it and doesn't know anything about the subject to look at some mysterious children. IDK... why am i making this post anyways.. dont know either. gotta find something more useful to do in this afternoon. gonna read some financial news.
