What is a good quality sunscreen that doesn't make the skin shiny or white? The one
I have right now makes me very shiny. I don't want anything that is tinted.

An umbrella.

Sunforgettable by Colorescience is a powder sunscreen. It's pricey, but once you buy the first one, you can get refills for a bit less. I use it, and it's awesome. It truly takes away the shine on my face and looks perfectly natural.

I have found 2 SS comercially available:

Nivea Light Feeling Sensation SPF50+ UVA 20(OMC, TinosorbS, AVO, TiO2, Ensulizole, Ethylhexyl Tirazone with Microbeeds: OMC+AVO: it makes the sunscreen stay on the surface of the skin and gives a beautiful semi-matte finish to the skin that actually looks better than with make-up on!)

Bioderma: Photoderm MAX Fluide SPF50+ UVA 35 with TinosorbM+S, AVO, OCR

These Sunscreens are only available in the EU! Both follow the recommended European Sunscreen Standards! (See Colipa)
Can be order online with shipping to the US

Is the 'Nivea Light Feeling Sensation SPF50+' also called Nivea Sun Moisturizing Sun Lotion SPF50+? Because I can't find anything called Nivea Light Feeling Sensation SPF50 on those websites or anywhere else online.

I just wanted to add that I'll be trying the Vichy Micro-fluide mat sunscreen, too, in the spf30, so I'll post about this one after I've given it a week or two. I am in the U.S. but it is available on Leguidesante.com and Tubotica.com (but with a hefty shipping fee). Nonetheless I'll pay what I can if it's matte and protects well.

Olay Complete Sensitive Skin

I used this one for years. (currently using ZIRH, Jack Black, Blue Lizard, and a few other moisturizer/sunscreens in alternation)
It is perfect for sensitive skin.
It is nearly invisible when applied
(You can put a good amount on too: don't go too light when applying sunblock. go all out! :p )

But:
It is NOT waterproof. If you perspire, it will run all over your face, leaving visible white streaks.
It is good for regular sun exposure in a middle latitude, but only contains 3% zinc oxide, so it's not going to protect you from a tropical sun blast, or all day exposure at any latitude, time of year, or altitude.

Nonetheless, I cannot recommend this one enough.

I am back to report that the Vichy Micro Fluide Matte spf 30 unfortunately looks shiney on my exfoliated and oily skin. It doesn't feel oily, fortunately, but looks shiney right away and doesn't do anything to minimize the shine (though I'm a geiser, what can I expect). It would be an option, definitely, if one were willing to powder over it with something, perhaps a starch or silica, but I'm really looking for great protection without having to powder (I'm male, so the stigma exists :) ). Just giving my reaction to my first 5 applications of this sunscreen. I bought two bottles and I'm certainly going to use them, though.

I have found the absolute best to be dewydefense. It's a tinted SPF 30 and does not make you white at all. In fact, I don't ever need foundation anymore. I use it on my skin and leave the house. It even adds some moisture and a natural color. It's amazing stuff IMO.

Neutrogena Helioplex SPF 55+ doesn't leave my skin white unless I have 2-3 days facial hair but it does make my skin a little shiny. I don't mind the shine

lol, how is the picture relevant? Is this you with it on? hahha

La Roche Posay Anthhelios really works for me. If I put it on straight after a shower I can put on quite a bit and after a few minutes my face looks completely normal.

Echoing what zoolander wrote, if I have a beard it drastically increases the sunscreen's noticability.
