Also, there was some talk of a meet on Chapel Street. What about that? Who's in for some green tea at that tea place near Kush?

BTW: I'll try to grab a booth, which will be on the left as you walk inside the cafe. Apologies for the confusion... I should have made it clearer on the boards here. We're going by the original post I made here about meeting up at Cafe Greco on Wednesday. The meet up on 21st June 2009 via the meet up site is for a different location.

I started the group (Australian Immortals Meetup) the other day (it costs $45USD per 3 months to host a group through the site) and will be trying to get the word around to find other 'immortals' who are keen to meet up. I'm not sure where it will lead at this stage, but I gather that will come up when some of us start to meet, chat and share ideas.

If you have any ideas for what we could do with such a group, pls. suggest.

We'll have to go ahead with 7pm to avoid this turning into a circus of changes. I'd assume we'll probably keep chatting until about 9pm or later, so hopefully you can make it because this will be the first official 'immortals meeting' in Melbourne. We can take a photo of the meet and share it with the ImmInst community, which would be a good thank you to this site for existing and creating this opportunity for us.

Originally from the SE of SA.
Lived in Melbourne for a year, way back in '86. Couldn't wait to get out!

I'm reminded of the quote attributed to the actress who starred in the 1959 movie "On the Beach", in which she remarked that Melbourne was an ideal city in which to make a movie about the end of the world! )
