What I wanted to make clear is: if depression was a serious side effect we would already know. Anectodal evidence is great, it is a good starting point for any research, but currently there does not seem to be a lot of talk about depression? don't we have lots of CR practisioners on board?
Even if depression was an issue for some susceptible guys, it won't change the fact that CR either works or does not work on a biological level in humans.

"quality vs quantity of life." may be you maxim, but it does not need to be everyone's idea of life extension...

There are drawbacks to CR, which is undisputable, but none of them negates CR's effects (at leat in theory).
