Early 1990s internet purpose (libraries) meets late 1990s internet structure (hyperlinks):

Reminds me of a combo of archive, museum, and library, though it is possible that from the perspective of an inhabitant of the early 20th century, the delay in information availability experienced via utilizing the reseau may have seemed more like 3G, broadband, gigabit ethernet, and bleeding edge than a lumbering, slow-paced archive network.
