99, I think.
Been working with elder people as a part time job for some eight years, and folks in late 80's and 90's strikingly share things like: they are in relatively good psysical and mental shape, - especially they seem to all share a good sense of humour, no depression, and they are optimistic. They enjoy 'small things in life', wake up early, eat smaller meals, etc. And the kicker: the late 90ish blockbusters are for the most part women and............... they alnmost often enjoy a glass of red wine daily. WOOT!

I think my oldest great-aunt just turned 104. So, I guess her.

The oldest person I ever met was 100 years old. I was working at a retirement home over the summer, two years ago, and that lady was the oldest of the bunch. Sadly, she was not in a very good condition. I think she's dead now.

Must have been my Grandfather. 94. Smoked, drank, ate red meat, and was extremely lucid and healthy all his life until his last year.

Probably my aunt who was I think 98 when she died. I once met a guy who was in the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. That was 20+ years ago though, so he's almost surely dead. As a peripherally related thing, my wife's great grandfather fought in the Civil War. My wife is in her mid 40's, so there are some really long generations there.

A couple of weeks ago I met my brother's girlfriend's great uncle, he was 98 years old. I asked him what his secret was to living long, but he just said that it's because he prays every morning and night. Praying is just another word for meditation. I don't know anything else about his life style habits.

a 90 years+ old man looking over a bridge. i was walking over the bridge and saw him. a couple of babyboomers did too. they sort of started the conversation. i joined for a bit. the couple asked the the old man's age, and he simply said he's over 90 but age's not important to him. He looked about 70-90, seemed healthy, lucid and all that.

The oldest person I can remember meeting is an old man I met at a farm. My grandpa and I went to buy some old farm equipment from him and the guy came out and was driving his tractor around and hooking up this and that to move around and we asked him how old he was and he said 90 something.

I was surprised to see somebody that old moving around like that but it also gave me a reality check on the sign of the times. The world is getting healthier and living longer. Its a bright tomorrow indeed.

My aunt was about 98 when she died 4 years ago. I regularly hang out with a guy who's 90.

I have and older second cousin grandpa something rather who is 100. Attributes his old age to knocking young girls. I also know an 89 yr. old. Eats a lot of Okra. Okra is rish in mucopolysacharides. Goes back to that village in japan where people eat foods high in hyaluronic acid.

104. A lady at a nursing home I visited to speak about meteorology and weather safety. She was thin but healthy. Couldn't hear very well. According to the staff she liked to watch TV even though she couldn't hear it. Her most enjoyable event every week was when a member of the staff would read a magazine article or a chapter of a book to her, reading very loudly of course. Unfortunately, this was only 30 minutes out of every week.

My grandmother of maternal site was 99 when she passed away. Like Mind mentioned indirectly, isolation becomes a major issue for these people.
