Just wanted to mention that I've bought ending aging and encourage others to do so.(although I suspect most people here already have read it)

Just out of curiosity but why do they quote Martin Raff of all people on the backcover?

I only just bought "The Singularity is Near" by Ray Kurzweil. It only took me three years to get around to it! lol I found a pristine copy for only $2 at my local Deseret Industries thrift store. But I almost feel like I have already read the book because I have perused so many reviews of it. I know that both books took quite a drubbing from critics. I hope both authors write follow-up books to rebuke the naysayers.

I dearly hope Kurzweil is right about the full-blown Singularity happening by 2045.

Do you consider ending aging the most conclusive book to read discussing life extension and the biology behind it or are there any other books you think it's necessary to read?

I've borrowed Ending Aging from the library, so I have a limited amount of time to read it. Which pages are the most important pages which I should read 1st?

Merchants of Immortality, Live Forever or Die Trying are books which deal with life ext. i'm reading 'merchants of immortality'(in addition to ending aging)right now.
