I am taking a stack of nootropics that I just got recently; they are:

1) Piracetam 2300mg, 3-4x/day
2) Idebenone approx. 45mg (hard to measure), 3x/day
3) Alpha-GPC 50% just under 1/8 tsp (about 300 - 400 mg) 3x/day

Plus some vitamins that I've been taking for a while:

4) Vitamin C (includes tiny dosages of other chemicals like lemon bioflavinoids 1.3mg) 500mg 3-4x/day
5) Alpha Linoleic Acid aka flax seed oil aka sort of like fish oil but supposedly more easily absorbed but takes more steps to turn into omega3

I also have some Lecithin powder and a B-100 complex. I'm not sure if I should be taking those though. Supposedly Lecithin helps Idebenone get absorbed, and vitamin B helps the process of choline construction.

I want to know how effective this stack will be, what I should watch out for, and should I take the B & Lecithin, or maybe even a multivitamin? I'm not willing to buy any more nootropics at least for a good 5-6 months.

I am also experimenting with different sleep patterns (ie polyphasic sleep). I'm in the adjustment phase and after taking these suppliments, I have a bit of a strange feeling, almost like my brain is overheating, for lack of a better explanation. It's mild and I think that it has more to do with my sleep than it does with the nootropics, but just to be safe, has anyone had any similar feeling to this? It seems to happen just on the left side of my head and sort of towards the back. Could be eye strain too. I don't know for sure but just being safe by asking.

So yeah, in summary, any modifications to how stack should be taken, and has anyone had similar experiences with the brain overheating?

Thanks.

OH, and can I put all of them into a bottle of water, store it for 6 hours, then drink it without losing any potency? I'm not a chemist so I don't know if water breaks things down magically or not =D

Thanks again

Alpha GPC + Piracetam = classic noot stack. You can probably ditch the lecithin. B complex is always a good idea for kidney support amongst other benefits it will have for the brain. You will need to stack b5 if you go down the lecithin route.

I used to think Idebenone was a great supplement, I'm not so sure anymore. Ubiqinone or CoQ10 may be safer bets. The problem you are getting with sleep is like to be the Idebenone - i can't sleep on the stuff either, not even with Melatonin. Alpha Lipoic Acid (not Lineolic) / Idebenone is usually used as a mitochondrial antioxidant, which you will need if you take carnitine (esp. N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine, ie ALCAR), which I suggest is a good idea.

I may be wrong here, but I'd junk the ALA, and go for a good fish oil. If you don't want the fish part of the oil, you can buy clinical grade DHA/EPA. High EPA to DHA ratio is a always good idea, based on research that I accept as credible.

Your vitamin C stack is good. You could even up it if your bowels can hack it.

I heard that ~1g vitamin C is ideal. Any more and it doesn't go to the brain that well. Also, I'm not having any problems with my sleep. I don't know where you got that from. I also heard that too much vitamin B will start to damage the brain. Does anyone know of a good dosage?

Thanks.

One b complex should do the trick. I take extra b5 (1 gram slow release) because I'm using Lecithin not using CDP choline, but I am going to switch to it shortly. I also take a b6 booster now and again because I drink.

I take 4 grams a day slow release vitamin C. To be honest, I'm not really that concerned about vitamin c in the brain, but I have no doubt the brain is getting what it needs. I take vitamin C + Lysine mostly from the Linus Pauling school of thinking (for cardiovascular and life extension reasons).

Some forum members take 8grams a day.
