In my experience they don't stack up that well...
Side effects: headache, tiredness and sometimes lethargic feeling.
It only works for me when I take them both in low dosage (50mg MOD + 600mg PIR)

Any more experiences or possible explinations for this?
Shouldn't piracetam amplify modafinil's stimulating effect?

Noone knows, but it might do - in low dosages, or high dosages. Whatever works for you. Personally I think modafinil also has a bell efficacy curve, just like piracetam. Are you getting your choline in as well? What Choline supplement are you using?

I'm mainly using alpha-GPC and on occasion DMAE. When I'm not on modafinil I tolerate piracetam way better.
I might try a higher choline intake in combination with modafinil (maybe MOD accelerates the choline uptake or something...) but I'm considering of replacing MOD with Selegiline (for the stimulating part of my regimen).

I doubt you will find it as effective. If you want stimulation, I would cycle the modaf with the selegeline and take piracetam with the selegeline only. Use Alpha GPC throughout. DMAE I'm sitting on the fence with at the moment and I would take it only ocassionally like you.

Try a bit of Chocamine as well, that might get you out of your "hole".

The MOD / DEP+PIR cycling is working out great! I would recommend it (with caution of course), thanks for the advice hamishm!

I'd be interested, how do you schedule your cycling exactly (# of days on/off, etc)?

Basically it comes down to the folowing:

Day one:
take your usual piracetam dose + some selegiline (which will help with the motivation+allertness) + some choline when needed (i would suggest onlyl taking it when you feel like you need it) + choffee (when you feel like an extra boost)

Day two:
again PIR + selegiline (probably in lower dose than day one cause of the long half-life) + choline + coffee (both when you feel like it)

Day three/four:
repeat day two
OR take a break: no PIR, no SEL
you can take Modafinil on this day (the dose requierd will probably be lower than what you're used), so start of low and build up
+ choline/coffee when you feel like it

Day five: take another Modafinil-day or go back to the PIR+SEL combo (which is great) and start over

The exact dosages you should find out for you self, for me it's:

Piracetam: 600mg 2x/day (somethimes a third dose, i don't tolerate higher dose which would make me lethargic)
Selegiline: 2.5mg (firtst day), 1.25mg on second/third/... day
Choline: a-GPC usually only 150mg/day
Coffee: in the morning + afternoon (one cup)
Modafinil: 50-100mg once or twice a day

I would like to add the following:

the PIR+SEL days are great when you want to get intellectual-work done (studying, reading, ...)
the MOD days are great for when you just need to be focussed, alert and/or get physical work done.

I agree with that. Modafinil is for grunt work as opposed to 'finesse' work.

^That's very interesting, subjectively is selegiline similar to say a low dose of d-amphetamine when administered concomitantly with piracetam? I have been contemplating getting some for a while now, going to law school and need a boost but I'm worried about the long term effects of adderall

I think the racetams are good to quickly accomodate for changes in neurological configurations. Just took 700mg aniracetam and then only I really felt the Modafinil was doing something for me. But I am non-standard.
