A Dissenting Voice as the Genome is Sifted to Fight Disease

Has the genome project's fruits and our overall benefits and medicine advancements from decoding the genome met your earlier expectations?

Fortunately, our knowledge about it is advancing exponentially, i believe that in the next years or decade more consistent results (other than knowing a rough probability of a person developing some diseases) will appear.

Well, if they were expecting to find genetic links to the vast majority of heart disease, alzheimers, diabetes, and other age-related diseases, they were mistaken from the start. Most of these are self-inflicted chronic conditions - not genetic.
